The Culinary Sales Coordinators are the architects of this department’s quality-obsessed culture. They are attuned to the food industry and understand IGF’s mission, business processes, and role centers, which enables them to ensure streamlined communication and quick issue resolution. They have strong written and verbal communication skills and excel at retaining and sharing information in ways that increase knowledge by generating excitement and the desire to reshare.  

RESPONSIBILITIES 
The Culinary Sales Coordinator does the following. 
 
  1. Collaborates with the department Director to develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and procedures around: 
    1. Key performance indicators (KPIs)  
    2. New territory  
    3. Targets 
    4. Training  
  2. Manages and mentors Culinary Sales Specialists and Associates: 
    1. Reinforces the mission and objectives:
      1. Continuous improvement  
      2. Quality service 
      3. Teamwork
    2. Accompanies them on sales calls
    3. Evaluates their performance against targets and KPIs 
    4. Cultivates curiosity; invests in their personal and professional development 
  3. Handles daily inquiries on behalf of the department 
    1. Manages an issue-resolution budget to make low-cost executive decisions  
    2. Resolves issues decisively and quickly 
    3. Resolves issues with a prevention mindset: proactively helps improve practices to prevent similar issues in the future  
    4. Resolves operational concerns such as inventory inquiries, product mis-picks, and significantly delayed and missed deliveries 
    5. Resolves procurement concerns such as receiving ETAs
  4. Designs, develops, and assists with educational and training initiatives related to: 
    1. Best practices; continuous process improvement  
    2. Business conduct  
    3. ERP proficiency  
    4. Products and vendors  
    5. Product reach (sales strategy)
  5. Learns, maintains awareness of, and advocates for the perspectives of other departments and teams: 
    1. Builds relationships with peer Coordinators 
    2. Collaborates with other departments and teams to design workflows that improve communications, coordination, and quality of service
  6. Contributes to the team by performing other work as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum five years of experience in sales or related field
  • Minimum three years leadership experience; demonstrated ability to successfully lead and direct a team
  • Strong organizations skills and ability to create actionable insights
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellent customer service
  • Ability to build rapport quickly with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, especially Dynamics, Excel, Forms, Outlook, Planner, SharePoint, Teams, and Word
  • Aggressive in identifying opportunities for improvement; strong implementation abilities
  • Experience with creating and delivering trainings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
